When 1:1 learning environments are designed with constructivism in mind, they are very powerful.
    I have taught 10 years in a school that allocated it’s computers to a computer lab. I have also taught a self-contained grade 6 classroom with a 1:1 laptop and I’m now in my third year teaching in the hospital with a 2:1 classroom (laptops and iPads). There is no doubt in my mind that the 1:1 classroom model is far superior to the computer lab model.
    If I return to the conventional classroom, I am going to want a 1:1 environment for my students. I say this because I’ve seen how much 1:1 learning environments support student learning. I also say this because my learning has changed for the better with a 1:1 environment, and I have no interest in going back.
